Events

Games – Ohio runs a number of events each month, but some of them require that players complete certain tasks leading up to attending. The following is a list of event types with the tasks that need to be completed. Sure, you can always complete some of these tasks when you arrive at the event, but wouldn’t you prefer to be able to take your time?

League (Trading Card & Video Game) – In-Person

  1. Update the console(s) and the games(s) with the most recently available patch(es).
  2. Fully charge and/or have fresh batteries in the console as electrical outlets and additional battery availability may be limited.
  3. Properly sleeve and place your cards into a deck box.
  4. Drive safely to the event.

Pokemon Trading Card Game Tournament (Premier) – In-Person

  1. Complete, print out and bring along the Pokemon Deck List or complete and submit the online form.
  2. Properly sleeve and place your cards into a deck box.
  3. Drive safely to the event.

Pokemon Video Game Tournament (Premier) – In-Person

  1. Print out, complete and bring along the Pokemon Video Game Team List or complete and submit the online form.
  2. Update the console(s) and the games(s) with the most recently available patch(es).
  3. Fully charge and/or have fresh batteries in the console as electrical outlets and additional battery availability may be limited.
  4. Drive safely to the event.

Video Game Tournament – In-Person

  1. Log in to Challonge.Com to pre-register for the event.
  2. Either update the console(s) and the games(s) with the most recently available patch(es) and/or bring a controller.
  3. Fully charge and/or have fresh batteries in the console and/or controller as electrical outlets and additional battery availability may be limited.
  4. Drive safely to the event.

Video Game Tournament (Extended Schedule) – Online

  1. Follow the instructions via the Event Instructions page related to the particular game. The Event Instructions page can be found in the menu: Events -> Event Instructions -> GAME
  2. Update the console(s) and the games(s) with the most recently available patch(es).
  3. Fully charge and/or have fresh batteries in the console and/or controller as electrical outlets and additional battery availability may be limited.
  4. Connect to the Internet.
  5. Log in to Challonge.Com to arrange a meeting with your first opponent.

Video Game Tournament (Live) – Online

  1. Follow the instructions via the Live Events – Online page and click on the details link. The Live Events – Online page can be found in the menu: Events -> Live Events – Online
  2. Update the console(s) and the games(s) with the most recently available patch(es).
  3. Fully charge and/or have fresh batteries in the console and/or controller as electrical outlets and additional battery availability may be limited.
  4. Connect to the Internet.
  5. Log into the Chat Room found on the Live Events – Online page.

Yu-Gi-Oh Trading Card Game Tournament (Premier) – In-Person

  1. Print out, complete and bring along the KDE Official Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME Deck List.
  2. Properly sleeve and place your cards into a deck box.
  3. Drive safely to the event.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does the Pokemon Trading Card Game Online (PTCGO) have the ability to print out my deck list to submit to a live event?
A: Yes. A deck list can be obtained in-game by going to the Deck Manager, clicking on the Eye icon to the right of the deck box and then clicking on the Print button at the bottom of the window. Save the deck list as a PDF and then print.

Q: Does PTCGO have the ability to print out my deck list in text to submit to an online event?
A: Yes. A deck list can be obtained in-game by going to the Deck Manager, clicking on the Wrench icon to the right of the deck box to edit the deck and then clicking on the Export Deck icon at the top-right side of the window. You can then paste the deck list into a text file.
